Softball Recap: Kettle Run Cougars vs. Brentsville District Tigers

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Battlefield, Kettle Run was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Brentsville District Tigers by a score of 11-6. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.

Aaliyah Alexander spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up ten Ks. Those ten strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

On the hitting side, Kettle Run let Abi Martin and Emerson Golden run wild. Martin got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Golden went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
