            Baseball Recap: Huntingdon Bearcats vs. Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders        
        
		
        
        
            The scorekeeper got an easy start  on Monday as neither Huntingdon nor Bishop Guilfoyle made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Bearcats put the hurt on the Marauders with a sharp  7-0 victory. This was payback for the Bearcats, who suffered  a  4-1  defeat the last time these two teams met.
 Connor Moore made a big impact no matter where he played. He  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Moore was also big at the plate,  earning one  run and two  stolen bases. That's the most  stolen bases  he has posted since back in March.

 In other pitching news,  Eric Mykut looked comfortable as he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits over four innings pitched. What's more,  he posted five  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in May of 2024.
 Back at the plate, Huntingdon let  Brock Bryson and  Ethan Reck run wild. Bryson  went a perfect 3-for-3 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double, while  Reck  went 2-for-4 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run. Those  two  RBI gave  Reck a new career-high.  Drew Wilson was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
Huntingdon's win was  their fifth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 11-4. The  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Bishop Guilfoyle, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record  this season.
 Huntingdon will head out on the road to  take on  Clearfield  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Bishop Guilfoyle, they will be playing at home against Chestnut Ridge  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
