Basketball Recap: Scott Central Comes Up Short

Scott Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 52-37 bruising from the Bay Springs Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 238th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 32nd).

Scott Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Bay Springs, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

While Scott Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
