Recap: Valparaiso Vikings vs. Michigan City Wolves
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Valparaiso Vikings walked away with it. They strolled past Michigan City with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 26-7. Winning may never get old, but Valparaiso sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Justin Clark had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 146 yards and three touchdowns. Clark was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 61 yards. Thomas Burda and his 109 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Valparaiso's victory.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Valparaiso's defense and their five sacks. Michigan City's QB won't forget Brady Blaschke anytime soon given Blaschke sacked him twice.
Valparaiso's victory was their fourth straight at home , which pushed their record up to 9-2. As for Michigan City, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
Valparaiso will head out on the road to face off against Merrillville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Merrillville's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last four contests. Michigan City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
