Basketball Game Preview: Creekside Seminoles vs. Newnan Cougars

Having just played yesterday, the Creekside Seminoles will head out on the road to face off against the Newnan Cougars at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Creekside is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 57 points on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Jackson on Friday. They took a blow against the Jaguars, falling 88-23. The contest marked the Seminoles' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, Newnan unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 61-52 to Langston Hughes.

Creekside's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Newnan, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4.

Creekside didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Newnan in their previous matchup back in December of 2019, but they still walked away with a 51-46 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Creekside since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
