Baseball Recap: TMI-Episcopal Drops Season-High Score on Jefferson

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask TMI-Episcopal). Everything went their way against the Jefferson Mustangs on Saturday as the TMI-Episcopal Panthers made off with a 12-3 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Ankith Padala was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Trent Spivey, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2.

TMI-Episcopal always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

TMI-Episcopal's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Jefferson, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.

TMI-Episcopal will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Holy Cross at 4:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for Jefferson, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Sam Houston at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be Sam Houston's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
