East Butler put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Meridian Mustangs 67-38. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 26 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Meridian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jayton Jones shot 5-for-7 from long range and almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards. Jones continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

East Butler's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-0. As for Meridian, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Bruning-Davenport/Shickley the next time they take the court. Meridian will head out to face Bruning-Davenport/Shickley at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, while East Butler will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
