Baseball Recap: South Vermillion Takes a Loss

South Vermillion and Greencastle squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but South Vermillion had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Tiger Cubs by a score of 6-4. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured seven losses in a row.

Dallas Coleman was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

South Vermillion's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Greencastle, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

South Vermillion does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Greencastle, they will square off against Parke Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wolves will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Tiger Cubs surely won't give up without a fight.
