Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rison). They put the hurt on the Dumas Bobcats with a sharp 19-4 win on Tuesday. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 13-9 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Carlese Johnson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Johnson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Elissa Summar was a standout: she scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Haven Simpson was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.
Rison always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .704. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
