Football Recap: Saint Francis Falls Short of Grant in the Playoffs

Saint Francis and Grant squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Saint Francis had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Grant Pacers by a score of 32-30. It was the first time this season that the Lancers let down their fans at home.

Grant's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Luke Alexander led the charge by throwing for 300 yards and two touchdowns while completing 77.1% of his passes. Brandon Lambert helped Alexander out on the ground, rushing for 123 yards and one touchdown on only 14 carries.

Saint Francis' defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4. As for Grant, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.

Saint Francis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Grant has also already played their next contest, a 35-28 win against Pacifica on the 13th.
