Soccer Recap: Wheeling Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Wheeling took on Conant on Wednesday. The Wildcats came up short against the Cougars, falling 4-0. Wheeling haven't had much luck with Conant recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Wheeling's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Conant, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wheeling will square off against Proviso East at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Wheeling will be up against Proviso East's rather soft defense (which has allowed four goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Conant, they will challenge South Elgin at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. South Elgin's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
