Basketball Game Preview: MAST Charter II Voyagers vs. Thomas A. Edison Owls

The MAST Charter II Voyagers will square off against the Thomas A. Edison Owls at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with seven defeats in a row, MAST Charter II turned things around against Sayre on Tuesday. They strolled past the Sabres with points to spare, taking the game 49-34. That 15 point margin sets a new team best for the Voyagers this season.

Jadan Thomas was the offensive standout of the game as he posted 18 points. Those 18 points gave him a new career-high. Myles Millican was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Thomas A. Edison ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They escaped with a win against Martin Luther King by the margin of a single free throw, 53-52. The win was some much needed relief for the Owls as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Thomas A. Edison's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for MAST Charter II, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-12.
