Basketball Recap: Denmark vs. West Forsyth Wolverines
If Denmark were riding high off their 44-18 takedown of the Forsyth Central Bulldogs last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Denmark fell 58-48 to the Wolverines on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Denmark of the 59-43 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Despite the loss, Denmark still got an impressive performance from Emma Hempker, who scored 30 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Naomi Manoj, who scored six points.
Denmark's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for West Forsyth, the victory got them back to even at 12-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Denmark will take on the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Milton is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games. As for West Forsyth, they will be playing at home against the Longhorns at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
