Bradford is 0-4 against Clay since February of 2020 but things could change on Monday. The Tornadoes will challenge the Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. Bradford is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Bradford didn't have quite enough to beat Union County and fell 5-4.

Bradford saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keegan Yowell, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Summer Sutton was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Clay came up short against Creekside on Thursday and fell 13-8. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Kaelye Rouw stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Hailey Hackett also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Clay's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Bradford, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Bradford has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .467. However, it's not like Clay struggles in that department as they've averaged .437. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Bradford couldn't quite get it done against Clay when the teams last played back in February as they fell 10-6. Can the Tornadoes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
