Baseball Game Preview: Lecanto Panthers vs. Nature Coast Tech Sharks

Lecanto is 1-9 against Nature Coast Tech since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Sharks at 7:00 p.m.

Lecanto is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Nature Coast Tech, falling 10-1.

For Nature Coast Tech's part, they got a great performance from RAYMOND GROETSCH as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. Those 14 strikeouts gave GROETSCH a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Aidan O'Nolan, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of BRADY MCMURDO, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Nature Coast Tech was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lecanto only posted a batting average of .148.

Nature Coast Tech's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-6. As for Lecanto, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-15.
