Basketball Game Preview: Red Mesa Redskins vs. BASIS Flagstaff Yetis

The Red Mesa Redskins will face off against the BASIS Flagstaff Yetis at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

On Saturday, Red Mesa earned a 61-50 win over Ash Fork. That's two games straight that the Redskins have won by exactly 11 points.

Meanwhile, BASIS Flagstaff was able to grind out a solid victory over Many Farms on Thursday, taking the game 43-34.

BASIS Flagstaff found their leader in sophomore Alexei Barrow, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barrow has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyler Choi, who posted three points in addition to six steals and five rebounds.

BASIS Flagstaff smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in seven consecutive matchups.

Red Mesa now has a winning record of 13-12. As for BASIS Flagstaff, they pushed their record up to 13-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Red Mesa came out on top in a nail-biter against BASIS Flagstaff when the teams last played two weeks ago, sneaking past 45-42. Does Red Mesa have another victory up their sleeve, or will BASIS Flagstaff turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
