Basketball Recap: Southeast Takes a Loss

Southeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost to the Lafayette County Huskers at home by a 61-44 margin.

Southeast's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Lafayette County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Southeast will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Paseo Academy of Performing Arts at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. As for Lafayette County, they are taking a road trip to face off against Bishop LeBlond at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Bishop LeBlond has won six straight at home, while Lafayette County won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
