Basketball Recap: Tage Flodstrom's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Skyline over Tolleson

Skyline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 58-46 to the Tolleson Wolverines. The Coyotes were not able to make up for their loss to the Wolverines from their previous meeting back in December of 2019.

Several Coyotes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tage Flodstrom, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Noah Reyes, who earned 13 points.

Rico Blassingame continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Tolleson, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikey Dauphin, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 13 points.

Skyline's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Tolleson, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Skyline wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 54-32 loss against Arcadia on the 3rd. As for Tolleson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-60 defeat against Yuma Catholic on the 3rd.
