Basketball Recap: Stephens Takes a Loss

If Stephens was riding high fresh off their 79-34 takedown of Cornerstone Christian last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Stephens Roadrunners fell 56-49 to the Arkansas Christian Academy Knights on Tuesday. The contest marked the Roadrunners' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Despite the loss, Stephens still got an impressive performance from Kason Powell, who went 8 of 20 en route to 23 points. The game was Powell's 20th in a row with at least ten points.

Stephens' loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Arkansas Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Stephens didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-51 victory against Victory Christian on the 23rd. Arkansas Christian Academy has also already played their next contest (against Garrett Memorial Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
