Football Recap: Jacob Odle's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Triad over Washington

The Triad Knights came up short against the Washington Panthers on Friday and fell 21-14.

Triad's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Odle, who rushed for 67 yards and one TD.

Triad's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Washington, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Triad will venture away from home to take on Alton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Washington, they will head out to challenge Metamora at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Panthers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
