Baseball Recap: Hurley Comes Up Short

Hurley fell victim to Crane and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Hurley's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Crane, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hurley will take on Verona at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.33 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Crane, they will challenge Pleasant Hope at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
