Columbus waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Lexington Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Cardinals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Columbus had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-17, 25-16.

Columbus' win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Lexington, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
