Football Recap: Mineral Point Comes Up Short

If Mineral Point was feeling good fresh off their 27-7 takedown of Dodgeville last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pointers were beaten by the Platteville Hillmen 41-14 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Pointers have suffered since September 6, 2024.

Mineral Point's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Platteville, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Mineral Point and Platteville will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Pointers will square off against rival Darlington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Platteville is set to take on their familiar foe Prairie du Chien at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
