It was a good run, but Van Buren County unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the South Pittsburg Pirates, falling 9-1. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 10-0 to the Pirates when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Van Buren County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-2. As for South Pittsburg, their victory bumped their record up to 7-14.

Coming up, Van Buren County will welcome Brainerd at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Pittsburg, they will venture away from home to face off against Silverdale Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
