Baseball Recap: Tri-Valley's Undefeated Season over After Eight Games

Tri-Valley was the 9-0 winner over Fieldcrest when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. The contest marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Tri-Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Klein, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Tri-Valley fell to 6-1-1. As for Fieldcrest, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Tri-Valley is set to square off against their familiar foe Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Fieldcrest will challenge rival El Paso-Gridley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
