Football Recap: Scott Central Comes Up Short

Scott Central and Clarkdale squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Scott Central had to settle for second. They fell 20-16 to the Bulldogs. The Rebels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Clarkdale's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jake Lee, who rushed for 100 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 144 yards and one TD. Those 100 rushing yards gave Lee a new career-high. Another back making a difference was Leland Harris, who gained 118 total yards and a touchdown.

Scott Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Clarkdale, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

Scott Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clarkdale, they will venture away from home to square off against Amite County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games.
