Softball Preview: Pine Tree Pirates vs. Henderson Lions
The Pine Tree Pirates will challenge the Henderson Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Pine Tree: they have been struggling with seven straight losses at home dating back to last season, while Henderson has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road.

Taylor Burkhart made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in strikeouts. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season.
