Baseball Recap: Cimarron Trailblazers vs. Okeene Whippets
Cimarron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 9-3 walloping at the hands of the Okeene Whippets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Cimarron of the 15-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.
For Okeene's part, William Woolley was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Reiley Luckie, who went 1-for-1 with four RBI and a run.
Cimarron's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Okeene, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-15.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cimarron is on the road again on Monday to play Mooreland at 5:00 p.m. As for Okeene, they will face off against Waynoka at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
