After flying high against Booker last Wednesday, Sarasota Christian came back down to earth. The Blazers came up short against the Babcock Trailblazers on Friday, falling 17-3. The Blazers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Sarasota Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dev Mclaughlin, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Sarasota Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Babcock, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-4.

Looking ahead, Sarasota Christian will take on Saint Stephen's Episcopal at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blazers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. As for Babcock, they will challenge Mason Classical Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
