Football Recap: St. Ignatius Wildcats vs. St. Xavier Bombers
St. Ignatius was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 31-19 to the St. Xavier Bombers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 21-14 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.
Daniel Vollmer had a dynamite game for St. Xavier, rushing for 162 yards and three touchdowns, while also catching a touchdown. Those 162 rushing yards gave Vollmer a new career-high.
St. Ignatius' loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for St. Xavier, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.
