On Tuesday, Doherty earned a 16-8 win over Air Academy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Meanwhile, Colorado Springs Christian fell victim to Fountain-Fort Carson and their airtight defense last Tuesday. They took a 12-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. The Lions' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Even if they lost, Colorado Springs Christian's defense still kept up the pressure with five sacks. Ell Thompson was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up four herself.

Colorado Springs Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Doherty, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.

Everything came up roses for Doherty against Colorado Springs Christian when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 38-0 win.
