Soccer Game Preview: Frederick Gunn vs. Greens Farms Academy

The Frederick Gunn Highlanders will head out to face off against the Greens Farms Academy Dragons at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Frederick Gunn will be strutting in after a win while Greens Farms Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

Frederick Gunn took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They won by a goal and slipped past St. Luke's 2-1.

Travis Lipinsky and AJ Karsch scored both of Frederick Gunn's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, Greens Farms Academy was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They came up short against Greenwich Country Day, falling 3-0. The match was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Greens Farms Academy it sure didn't stay that way.

Frederick Gunn now has a winning record of 6-5-2. As for Greens Farms Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 12-1-2.

Frederick Gunn took their victory against Greens Farms Academy in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 4-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Highlanders since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
