Softball Recap: Madawaska Takes a Loss

Madawaska managed to slip by Washburn the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Owls came up short against the Beavers on Wednesday, falling 17-1. The Owls were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Beavers earlier this season, when they won 18-17.

Madawaska's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Washburn, their win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madawaska will venture away from home to challenge Hodgdon at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Washburn, they will take on Katahdin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
