Recap: Sault Area Blue Devils vs. Gaylord Blue Devils
The Sault Area Blue Devils were the 46-21 winner over the Gaylord Blue Devils when they last played one another back in October of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. Sault Area fell 20-7 to Gaylord on Friday. While losing is never fun, Sault Area can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 235th, while Gaylord is ranked 36th).
This is the second loss in a row for Sault Area and nudges their season record down to 5-4. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 5-4 Petoskey (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 77.8% over those games). As for Gaylord, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Sault Area does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Gaylord is also done with their season.
