Baseball Recap: Mullins Takes a Loss

Mullins was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 20-3 to the Manning Monarchs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Monarchs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 last Tuesday.

Mullins' defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Manning, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mullins will square off against East Clarendon at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Auctioneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolverines have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Manning, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Mountain View Prep at 6:00 p.m.
