Basketball Recap: Masterman Comes Up Short

Masterman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting First Philadelphia Prep an easy 61-39 win.

Despite the loss, Masterman still got an impressive performance from Raj Chaudhury, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Chaudhury is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Demetrius Brown, who posted six points.

Masterman's record is now 2-5. As for First Philadelphia Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Masterman will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Science Leadership Academy at 1:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for First Philadelphia Prep, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Executive Education Academy Charter School at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
