Baseball Recap: Yucaipa Comes Up Short

Yucaipa was the 5-3 winner over Pacifica when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Thunderbirds fell just short of the Mariners by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Thunderbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Yucaipa's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Pacifica, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-11.

Looking ahead, Yucaipa will take on University in a tournament on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Thunderbirds 3.3, the Trojans 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Pacifica, they will challenge Crean Lutheran at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
