Softball Recap: Inman Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Inman came tearing into Friday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Remington Broncos get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. The Teutons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 contests by seven runs or more this season.

The result came thanks to Alexis Noone's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Maddi Parsons, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to triples, as she's now hit at least one in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Thimmesch, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Inman was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Remington only posted a batting average of .250.

Inman's win bumped their record up to 20-1. As for Remington, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Looking ahead, Inman will square off against Hesston at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Teutons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Swathers have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. Remington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
