Baseball Recap: St. Augustine Catholic Comes Up Short on the Road Against Rincon/University

St. Augustine Catholic kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 9-2 to the Rincon/University Rangers. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

St. Augustine Catholic saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sergio Cordova, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. What's more, Cordova posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

Coming up, St. Augustine Catholic will square off against Round Valley at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rincon/University, they will be taking part in a tournament against El Paso at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
