Soccer Recap: Norwich Free Academy Comes Up Short

Norwich Free Academy lost against East Lyme back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Norwich Free Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut soccer rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while East Lyme are ranked first).

Norwich Free Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3-2. As for East Lyme, their win bumped their record up to 12-0.

Norwich Free Academy has already played their next contest (against Killingly), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for East Lyme, they will square off against Bacon Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bacon Academy's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
