Baseball Recap: Portola Comes Up Short

Portola fell victim to Century and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 7-0 to the Centurions. The Bulldogs' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Portola saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Rockwell, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Nathan Chen also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Portola's defeat dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Century, they have been performing well recently as they've won 16 of their last 21 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Portola nor Century have any future games scheduled.
