It was a good run, but Owego Free Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their 11-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ithaca Little Red. The River Hawks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Little Red from their previous meeting back in May of 2023.

Conlan Taylor made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Matt Higgins, who went 2-for-3 with one triple.

Owego Free Academy's loss dropped their record down to 13-3-1. As for Ithaca, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Owego Free Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ithaca, they will head out on the road to challenge Johnson City at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.58 runs per game on average), something the Little Red will no doubt try to take advantage of.
