Football Recap: Fairport Takes a Loss

If Fairport was feeling good fresh off their 28-7 takedown of Aquinas Institute last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Red Raiders took a 35-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of the University Prep Griffins on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Red Raiders in their meetings with the Griffins: they've now lost five in a row.

Fairport's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for University Prep, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Fairport is set to take on their familiar foe Pittsford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, University Prep will square off against rival Rush-Henrietta at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
