South Christian waltzed into their contest on Friday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They came out on top against the Forest Hills Central Rangers by a score of 65-52. Given the Sailors' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while the Rangers are ranked 136th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

South Christian pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.8 points. As for Forest Hills Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Christian and Northview will meet in a classic North v. South matchup at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
