Basketball Recap: Avery Sanchez's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Pitman over Turlock

Pitman suffered their closest loss since December 7, 2023 on Monday. They fell just short of the Turlock Bulldogs by a score of 55-52. The Pride have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Pitman lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Avery Sanchez, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 46% in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Cole Martin, who posted 15 points.

Pitman's loss dropped their record down to 23-4. As for Turlock, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-14.
