Football Recap: Boulder Victorious + How To Watch

Boulder's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They managed a 27-22 victory over the Lakewood Tigers. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Benny Hovermale had an outrageously good game as he picked up 54 receiving yards and two scores, and also rushed for 44 yards and one touchdown. Those 44 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Ethan Toth was another key player, having thrown for 258 yards and two touchdowns.

Boulder didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Lakewood to a completion percentage of just 41.2%. The Panthers weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 71.4%.

Boulder didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Jack Neslage.

Despite the loss, Lakewood still got an impressive performance from Caleb Garcia, who picked up 98 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Boulder's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Lakewood, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Boulder will be playing at home against Mountain Range at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lakewood, they will venture away from home to face off against Northglenn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Norsemen will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
