DeSales strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 54-18 win over the Sunnyside Christian Knights. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Irish's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Knights are ranked 34th).

DeSales' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cohen Wood, who rushed for 96 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 198 yards and three TDs. That's the most rushing touchdowns Wood has posted since back in October of 2024. DeSales' leading receiver Jason Guest was Wood's top target yet again, picking up 153 receiving yards and three scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: DeSales was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 249 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

DeSales' victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Sunnyside Christian, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
