Football Recap: Florida School for the Deaf & Blind Starts Season with Victory at Home

Florida School for the Deaf & Blind gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 21-14 win over the Yulee Hornets. The victory almost wasn't to be: the Dragons were down 14-0 in the second quarter.

Florida School for the Deaf & Blind didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Mariska Dize led the group effort, picking up three of those interceptions all by herself.

Although Yulee took the loss, they still got scores from Kamilya Johnson and Rheyna Hilton.

Having lost for the first time this season, Yulee fell to 2-1.

Florida School for the Deaf & Blind wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 7-0 win against Orange Park on the 27th. As for Yulee, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-7 victory against Andrew Jackson on the 27th.
