With a playoff win on the line, Ganado rose to the challenge on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 35-14 margin over the Thorndale Bulldogs. The victory was nothing new for the Indians as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Ganado found their leader in sophomore Landyn Arriaga, who rushed for 122 yards and two TDs on only ten carries, and also threw for 148 yards and one touchdown. Those 122 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Arriaga.

Ganado was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 252 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 252 rushing yards in five consecutive contests.

Ganado's record now sits at 11-1. As for Thorndale, they moved to 8-4 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Coming up, Ganado will square off against Refugio on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 922 yards in their previous games. Thorndale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
