Baseball Recap: Carlyle Extends Winning Streak to Two

Eight must be Carlyle's lucky number: they beat Sandoval/Odin with that score not once but twice on Monday. The Indians/Lady Indians beat the Blackhawks by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians/Lady Indians.

The team relied heavily on Hayden Huels, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. He is becoming a predictor of Carlyle's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Jacob Ruscher, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Carlyle's victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Carlyle didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-2 win against Okawville on the 8th. Sandoval/Odin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
